Babylon
Treaty (!/?)
The
corporation of confluent discourses was only composed of humming. A voice was
heard from the microphone at a moment’s notice: “A moment”… (!/?) The
representatives of 193 countries in United Nation’s hall became quite at the
same time… The spokesman read the words “Love and Peace” like a poem in all the
languages. The silence in the hall deepened…
Silence resembled a stone; yet sworn to peace, the spokesman kept on
saying the words “Love and Peace” like babbling river despite to our age and
all obstinacies. The ones, who thinks the geography is something like a puzzle;
the ones, who change; the ones, whose homes are changed… The silence continued
like a vow.
The spokesman turned
to the audience and:
“… Dear
representatives, analyzing the issues within
themselves is not the only thing that artists can do. An artist cannot only
live his or her love, rage, and pain in his or her own physical and spiritual
frontiers. This is captivity! This cannot be silent! Courage is to keep it
alive! What I am saying is that I greet you – the politicians from all around
the world-. Do not forget: “Art Keeps It Alive. Politics Make It Die (!/?)”
Necessity for love
and peace is growing like a snowball all over the world. The elements of
totality in life – the ones that belong to nature- and the people, trees, sees,
skies are in agony. How can we live when a tree is cut and all the ants, bugs
and the baby, who is breathing, are destroyed? How can we live under the
shadows of guns? … Instead of being armed, hear my idea out : As the member
countries of United Nations, let’s incarnate trees as many as each country’s
residents, as the forest of “Love and Peace” in deeply grieving Middle East –
in Mesopotamia- , which is the mutual heritage of humanity and the source of
cultures, within the frame of Babylon Treaty. (!/?) Let’s afforest (!/?) Let
the wine yards of Babylon, the forests of Sumerians be our hope. Let us live the statement of Sumerian
Etemenanki –The House that is the Base of Heaven and Earth- in reality rather
than fairy tales…
Remember:
the throne that Nemrut was built in the shape of pyramid in order to be
respected. Even though Iron over Cedar; Copper over Iron; Silver over Copper;
Gold over Silver; giant jewel over Gold, think about what is left from himself
today (!/?)
Despite
the peace utopia of talking the same language, meeting in the same idea
undoubtedly would take us to the definition of peace and a richer world. The
population of the world is almost 7 billion today. A couple of 7 billion eyes,
7 billion loves, songs, …. and ideas… Amazing wealthiness (!/?) Today, it is
possible for this richness to incarnate the harmony of nature with reason, free
from ambitions on the way to be a pure human. Instead of drawing red lines on
the national borders, let’s give a new horizon to all the nations of the world
and the future generations with “Peace Forests” (!/?)…” …
All
the representatives strongly applauded for a while …
The
spokesman asked for “A moment” and started to read his poem:
Dreary,On your mind really?Iron
wall – cold rusty;Copper’s
face sourly;A
Crimson coloured starHeading
down south;The
ones,who
are in fight with god;The
ones,who
are shooting arrows to paradise; Yet;These
are the ones dishing dirt on humanity (!/?)Not
a secret;This
is the arrogance of flesh against bone; Two
sofa thrones brocaded;Fortune that is indeed surprising;Anyway;Let
their breed dry out;Let
this shall be the curse said out loud (!/?)
